Author visit

The author, Scot Gardner, spent 11th June here at Finley High School.  He entertained the students in Yr 8 with his funny stories about writing and his life. Following this, 35 keen and interested students from all year groups had an hour with him learning about and developing their writing craft. Year 11s and 12s also had a session each with Scot, in which they learnt how to develop ideas and improve their creative writing for the HSC English.  

Scot has written many books, one of which, Changing Gear,  is up for the Children's Book Council's Book of the Year for Older Readers.  We wish him success with that.
